Membership Application

To apply for CUGH membership, please complete the application. This form can be downloaded, completed and submitted by email to info@cugh.org or faxed to 415-502-6045 or mailed to:

How to Join

CUGH is an institutional membership organization supported in part by members’ dues. Membership is open to academic institutions with multidisciplinary global health programs that:

  1. span two or more schools within its university;
  2. work across all three university domains — education, research and service.
  3. have at least one substantive, current, long-term relationship with an international partner university in a low- or middle-income country (LMIC);

    4. Membership Categories

    There are three membership categories

    • Institutional members who fully meet all three criteria listed above
    • Associate members who are working towards but do not fully meet all three criteria
    • Partner members from low- to middle income countries who have a current partnership with a CUGH member.

    Annual Membership Dues (2010)

    Dues are for the calendar year, January-December 2010.

    Membership Catagories

    Institutional Member

    U.S., Mexico and Canada-based programs who fully meet the CUGH membership criteria

    Annual Dues:(1) $3,500 (US$)

    (1) If your institution is a member in good standing of the Global Health Education Consortium (GHEC), the CUGH membership fee is reduced to $2,650. GHEC membership will also be reduced to $1,750, or a total of $4,400 for membership in both organizations.

    Associate Member

    U.S., Mexico and Canada-based programs who are working towards but do not fully meet the CUGH membership criteria

    Annual Dues: (2) $2,500 (US$)

    (2) If your institution is an associate member in good standing of the Global Health Education Consortium (GHEC), the CUGH membership for associate members is reduced to $1,900. GHEC membership will also be reduced to $1,750, or a total of $3,650 for membership in both organizations

    Partner Member

    Low- or middle-income country based programs that have an existing partnership with a CUGH member
