Being a member of CUGH brings your institution into a dynamic association of more than 145 organizations globally that participate in CUGH activities. Membership offers distinct and unique advantages to strengthen your contributions to address global challenges. It will augment your institution’s presence in the global health community, facilitate linkages with academic institutions, companies, and governments around the world, and provide access to information about employment, research and training opportunities.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

An institution applying for CUGH membership must fill out the following form:

CRITERIA

Full Member:

  • Have at least one interdisciplinary program;
  • Must work in health across education, research, and service;
  • Have at least one long-term partnership with an LMIC institution.

Associate Member: Meets two of the above criteria; some flexibility if partially meet all three criteria.

LMIC Member: International partnerships are not required for membership, but are encouraged.

Minority Serving Institutions: Organizations classified as a Minority Serving Institution by the National Center for Education Statistics.

Partners: Organizations with a mission or activities consistent with those of CUGH.

Those who do not meet criteria or fit any membership category description may write a letter requesting membership to the Membership Committee of the Board. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
