IHME has begun the search to fill several (up to 4) faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level and (up to 6) faculty positions at the Lecturer level to join the Global Burden of Disease and Injuries team:

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) has several faculty positions open at the Assistant Professor and Lecturer levels to join the Global Burden of Disease and Injuries team. Successful applicants will have an MD or PhD in epidemiology, population health, biostatistics, health informatics, health economics, health policy or a related field. Successful applicants will have a proven record of quantitative research in a health-related field including statistical modeling using multiple and large data sets.

The Global Burden of Disease and Injuries team is involved with cutting edge research to measure the global impact of disease, injuries, and risk factors. Incumbents would be responsible for guiding and executing the intellectual content required to derive burden of disease estimates for the Global Burden of Diseases team. This task will include modeling of causes of death, non-fatal health outcomes, and risk factor exposures using data from a multitude of sources and applying complex algorithms in novel statistical applications developed at IHME.
