Job Opportunity: Associate Dean for Innovative Practice and Policy
The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is one of 12 Schools in a highly ranked institution. The School, ranked as one of the top nursing schools in the United States, is dedicated to advancing nursing knowledge, producing leaders, influencing policy, and defining practice. We are inviting applications from Ph.D. prepared senior academics for the position of Associate Dean for Innovative Practice and Policy to join the School’s leadership team.
The Associate Dean will report to the Dean and serve as the driving force for innovations that link the School’s tripartite mission in practice, education, and research. These may encompass technology integration, entrepreneurial initiatives including technology transfer, and the further development and implementation of evidence in teaching and practice. This role also assures and affirms the School’s prominence in practice and community engagement locally, nationally, and globally.
We seek a nurse/scientist who has a strong background in nursing practice, with the vision and skills to harness and integrate faculty members’ creative ideas related to their practice, teaching, and/or research. In that role, she/he is expected to inspire faculty, as well as students, to identify and develop ideas that can advance the discipline and the profession and transform these ideas into implementable innovations or practice policies. In addition, she/he will work closely with, and will develop partnerships with, clinical leaders in the community. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
