Healthy People, Healthy Planet, Social Justice
From March 28th-April 1st, 2022, the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) held its second virtual global health conference. The host institutions were Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health, University of California Global Health Institute, African Forum for Research and Education in Health, University of Southern California Institute on Inequalities in Global Health, and BRAC School of Public Health. It’s theme was ‘Healthy People, Healthy Planet, Social Justice.’ 587 posters were shown and 1550 people registered for the meeting. In addition, between March 21st-25th, CUGH hosted 27 free Satellite Sessions on a broad range of contemporary global health challenges. Over 4,950 people registered for the Satellite Sessions, and if you include the conference, individuals from over 135 countries participated in the meetings. Attendees shared knowledge, identified new collaborators, and heard cutting-edge information on how to address some of the big challenges we are facing.
